Garden for One Collection

Back by popular demand, we’re pleased to offer a collection of vegetables suited to those gardening for one.  We carefully selected these plants to ensure they will grow well in containers or raised beds.  Our collection includes a dozen single plants—one each of those named below, carefully grown in 4" pots as single plants.  #801 Collection of 12 plants $16.

Genovese Basil

Basil

Sweet basil, a fragrant culinary herb.  Cut away flowers and harvest foliage regularly to ensure the production of more leaves.

Broccoli ‘Munchkin’ Open pollinated broccoli produces medium sized heads which mature early.  Plant continues to produce smaller heads on side shoots.
Miniature White Cucumber Cucumber ‘Mini White’ Tender white cukes perfect for fresh salads or pickling.  4” fruits on vines that bush or trellis. Easy to digest.
Riesentraube Tomato Tomato ‘Red Grape’ Wild red 1” grape tomatoes, borne in prolific clusters.
Beam's Yellow Pear Tomato Tomato ‘Beams Yellow’ Pear shaped small yellow fruits.  Sweet, low acid.
Tomato ‘Sun Gold’ Many gardeners consider this the only cherry tomato to grow...a profusion of deliciously sweet golden-orange fruits.
Giant from Italy Parsley

Parsley Flat or plain leaf Italian parsley, in the old-fashioned way.  Superior flavor!

Pepper ‘Redskin’ Green--turning-to-red 2”-5” bell peppers on dwarf plants.  Surprisingly productive for compact,16” tall plants.
Squash ‘Bush Delicata’ One of the most popular winter squashes, this variety was bred for container growing!
Zucchini ‘Eight Ball‘  Fruits mature in just 40 days to the size of a pool ball.  Sweet, squashy flavor, bush habit.
Amish Deer Tongue Lettuce Lettuce, ‘Amish Deer Tongue’ Tender, fleshy deep green leaves.
Forellenschuss Lettuce Lettuce ‘Romaine’ Deep burgundy leaves for loose head perfect for harvesting young, tender leaves or when more mature.
